Our laboratory is located in the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences building on the Selçuk University campus. It has a computer network consisting of a server and 24 computers. All computers, except the main computer, have the same speed and configuration. The main computer is located in a separate location and is one step ahead of the others. There are separators between the computers. All computers are equipped with the necessary computer programs for conducting controlled experiments. The technical adequacy of our laboratory for experiments is ensured by the ongoing support of the Selçuk University Computer Center and the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences Technical Service Unit. Experimental methods have been used in various research projects since the 1930s and are now being implemented on computers and even via internet-based platforms. The laboratory's primary purpose is to provide an environment in which computer-aided experiments can be conducted to investigate topics related to economics, administrative, and social sciences. In these experiments, scenarios are presented, where individuals or institutions may encounter situations requiring decision-making, and participants are asked to determine their decisions. These questions are designed to closely approximate the real-world environment in which individuals make decisions. These questions are generated using computer software, and the answers are recorded. You can think of this method as a simulation of real-life decision-making situations or as a computer game. In this way, the researcher can test whether an existing theory works and under what conditions a decision/market mechanism is valid.
